This series of anthropomorphic raku fired sculptures is the result of a year-long inquiry on the possibility of transporting ancestral spirits, genii locurum, deities and human identities from the Malay Archipelago where my home island is situated, to the golden lands of Western Australia. Could these entities find their way here and what site markers should be erected to guide them across the seas that act as super highways for the disembodied beings?

The work was presented at the 2021 North Metropolitan TAFE graduate exhibition and was selected to be shown at Shine Exhibition 2022 at Gallery Central and the annual Australian National Graduate Exhibition, Hatched 2022 at PICA.
